I just started a raised bed (12 inches tall) that’s 12 square feet. I’m a beginner, and wanted to grow butternut squash, as well as other vegetables. Do you think it would be possible for me to have 1 trellis in my 12 square foot bed for squash and still be able to grow other veggies (i.e. tomatoes, bell pepper) as well?
Hi James, many gardeners grow multiple crops in that small of a bed. Just be aware that a vigorous squash plant can compete heavily with nearby plants in the same bed, so they may not do as well as normal. Best wishes!
